The mechanism of plantar fasciitis

In the previous posting, you will have come across the phrase 'stress on the plantar fascia'. This 'stress' means 'tension and pressure on the plantar fascia'. According to the reference below, it is said that the combination of compression by bones and tension have a more harmful effect on soft tissues (Muscles, Tendons, Fasciae, etc).

Therefore, it is plausible that having the center of the body weight in front puts more weight on the inner parts of the feet, which will stretch the fascia underneath, and also increase the likelihood of compression by the heel bone.

In fact, this paper is a study on tendonitis/tendonopathy, but since tendons and fasciae are part of soft tissues, it can be said that the mechanism of tendon and fascia problems are not so different from each other.
